Great Bass, less fluff. You no longer have to sacrifice sound quality to get the efficiency of a horn. You no longer have to sacrifice efficiency to get superior sound quality. - SOUND QUALITY: It's generally accepted that horns are more efficient than boxes, but usually that's expected to be at the expense of sound quality. When listened to side by side for sound quality, our users find that Bassmaxx Technology horns are cleaner and less colored than anything else. Period.
- EFFICIENCY 1: Bassmaxx horns, on average, produce 6dB more output at 1 Watt than double-18" boxes. That's below 80Hz. Even at low power, where distortion is not an issue, that's already four times the output with half the number of drivers.
- EFFICIENCY 2: Purchase costs are reduced due to the need for a fraction of the number of cabinets. A smaller number of cabinets are able to deliver a superior level of clean clear bass. Powering far fewer drivers yields a large cost savings in amplification. The electrical distribution necessary for the amplification is similarly reduced.
- EFFICIENCY 3: Transportation is perhaps the largest ongoing expense for providers of touring systems. In output, 16 Bassmaxx horns would compare favorably to at least 32 of the best double-18" boxes touring today. 32 boxes would take up the majority of a large truck and would likely require at least 8-16 amplifiers and a whole lot of electrical supply amperage to power them. Sixteen Bassmaxx cabinets can be loaded into just 8' of truck depth. All 16 cabinets can be powered by as few as two or four amplifiers. At most, eight smaller amplifiers could be used. That's a lot less space, a lot less weight and a whole lot less money! But add labor, load in/out time and its a "no brainer" since BASSMAXX systems produce more output, out front where it counts with lower (cleaner) stage site lines and does it for much less than conventional systems.
